Mrs. Clarke .Johnson and Mrs. Gordon Mort- Margaret Brodie was among' those from Teachers' College taking the trip to Petef‘boro last week. The trip was planned as a geographical survey at first hand of watersheds, etc., and three bus loads of our future teachers com- prised the party. Another happy event of last wek for Margaret was her graduation on Wednes- day, at which her mother was present. son and her mother, Mrs. Rolph Perkins were among the visitors. After the business and the wor- ship service, Mrs. Johnson intro- duced Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crean. who showed beautiful slides of their extensive trip last year to California and New Mexico. Mrs. Crean's running commentary was both entertaining and informa- tive; and some pictures of local scenes (and some local folk). pro- ved exceptionally interesting. Mrs. Rumble thanked the Creans. A delightful lunch served by the hostess completed the meeting. Next meeting, on June 9. will be in charge of Mrs. Freeman Bark- er. The key word is “Tell” and the meeting will be at the church. Last Wednesday afternoon, Victoria Square W.M.S. held its May meeting in the church there, with a lengthy agenda. A brief memorial service was held for former member, Mrs. V. West- brook. which was led by Mrs. Deverell. The spring rally of the York Presbytery W.M.S. was an- nounced for Tuesday. There is a new schedule for this meeting, the sessions taking place in the‘ afternoon and evening. instead of morning and afternoon as formerly. A most interesting pro- gram has been prepared. and it is hoped there will be a good at- tendance. For the evening service, our own choir will be present, and the pulpit will be occupied by our own minister, Mr. Binnington. The flowers in the church on Sunday were particularly beauti- ful, having been prize winners at Unionvilles Horticultural Show Lorraine and Murray Acreman visited with the Jack Pierces at the week-end. Hal and Mrs. Acre- man had a delightful trip last week renewing acquaintances in Linton, Lloydtown, and Schom- berg. We were happy to have Mr. and Mrs. Allan Wellman and their family present with us on Sunday for the church service.
