locals Lose 25- To North Western The Richmond Hill Football Team was thoroughly trounced .. last Saturday by North Western YMCA at lligh Park. The Y~Mcn took the decision 25 to 0. North Western which is looked upon as the team to beat thoroughly ' trounced the locals. The players from the Y were all over. they out-ran, outâ€"passed and out-tack- led the local players. If the Y decided to play an end run they would pull in the local ' ends and then take them out of the play while the backs ran ar- ound the outside. Another reason ,1 for the defeat was the condition of the town piaycrs which was v apparent in the way they tackled and blocked. When the locals were on the defensive it would take two or three tacklers to “ bring down a man when one ' should have been able to do the Job. Two of North Western's touchdowns were given to them on tumbles. to This Saturday. October 4. the Richmond Hill tcam journeys to r Dleppe Park to play East York. . I Feature Tag Team Match At Thornliill Tag team matches are not out of the ordinary at Thornhill Far- mers‘ Market where the wrest- lers hold sway every Thursday night. but the team match signed for October 3‘15 an outstandin‘: show. Joe Szabo and Hangman Howard, two rotlghhouse gran 01ers will charge at the newly formed duo'of Hartley Scott, a fast favorite hereabouts and Rocky Bowley. the “Mom-ton Hawk." Both of these teams are newly formed but we are certain that the fans will be pulling for Scott and Bowley who in turn will be pulling at Szabo and the Hangman. This one will be two out of three falls to a finish. In the semiâ€"final Wildcat Os- borne. the speedy local mat star has drawn a tartar in the person of Baslier Billy Foster of the Brampton Hill Billy fame, Os- borne is hot on the trail of Juan Lopez for a title match and hopes to use the wily Foster as a step- ping stone in that direction. But from all accounts Foster is fit as a fiddle and rarin‘ to go. This should be a good one. Two other good bouts will round out the card with “Happy” Both meeting Joe “Scissors” Greenfield in a one fall match and Karl Mueller clashing with classy Eddie Ed- wards. WalkerHallTrophy Play At Greens Last Saturday the Richmond Hill Lawn Bowling Club were hosts for the playing of the Walk- er Hall Memorial Trophy at the local greens.
