Response from the floor to a completely unexpected barrage of questions thrown at them was magnificent. All possible service groups, social orders. youth clubs, auxiliaries and churches were represented. Their sugges- tions and thoughts were all noted down to be card indexed and worked over by the school execu- tive in an efl‘ort to improve the retarded children and those very retarded referred to by Mr. Mur- ray Finlayson as the least of God's little ones. Mr. Finlayson is the President of the Ontario As- sociation for Retarded Children in this first big Campaign year. Mr. Swindle spoke for the school itself and Mr. D. Deacon. who is heading up the local campaign, made an enthusiastic appeal to the visitors. A highlight of the evening was news of a pending land grant and a direct offer by the Ladies of the Doncaster Ladies 'Com- munlty Club. Mrs. John Barbour. their local president, was accom- panied by Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. Jordan. Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Cole.
