AKOIJ-Fashibnéd Chriotnu Clerk Phones TU. 4-1125, AV. 5-3506 Select a small fresh cut Christmas Tree. Re- member a dry combustible tree is dangerous. Cut-off the base of the tree on an angle one inch above the original cut. ' Stand the tree in a pail of wet sand or coal. and keep it full of water. Don‘t erect your tree until the day before Christmas. Set it up in the coolest spot in the room and don’t block any doorways. Make sure your lights are safe. Discard frayed cords and have circuits plug- ged into a wall receptacle a safe distance from the tree so they can be easily discon- nected. A good flame proofing solution for fabrics and garments is made by mixing 9 ounces of borax and 4‘ ounces of boric acid in a gallon of water. Remove all wrappings and waste paper once the Christmas parcels have been opened. Toys requiring alcohol, kerosene or gaso- line to generate power are dangerous and should be avoided.
