Prizes were won by Mrs. Ray Jennings, Mrs. Ross Baker, Mrs. Floyd Wilson. Andy Annand. Charles Henshaw Sr. and Mr. Palmer Sr. The members are most grateful to Mr. and Mrs. James Gillh‘am for the lovely prizes donated. The next euchre will be February 17 at 8 pm. Surprise Party On Saturday, February 7. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Little of Aurora were completely and pleasantly surprised by a party given them by the community of Temper- anceville. They‘had lived in this district until recently when they took up residence in Aurora. Thirty-eight families contribut- ed toward the lovely occasional chair and coffee table presented to them Saturday evening. Those attending gathered outside and entered the house as a group, thereby making the surprise par- ty more effective. They enjoyed a social evening. some of the men playing cards. The dam will be 18 feet high with a two-lane traffic road running across it and the reservoir created by it will cover 121,13 acres with a maximum depth of 12 feet. Two beach areas will be prepared close to it for recreation and swimming. Work will be started on the dam immediately as part of the authority’s approved winter works program.
