I ~ ~ . olocal/ Jigure J/zafing Club “Need for greater voluntary parental supervision on and off the ice” was unanimously expressed at the annual meeting of the Richmond Hill Figure Skating Club on Monday night at the McConaghy Public School. Though the attendance was comparatively small, in proportion to the parents of the 200 children who benefitted throughout the season, the group present oifset this lack of numbers by their earnestness and enthusiasm displayed in discuss-‘ ing and charting the future course of the club. Club President, Mrs. William Wilson, chaired the meeting, and in reviewing the past year’s activities, thank- ed the executive and members, one and all, for their par- ticipation and whole hearted co-operation throughout the :year, especially to those whose untiring efforts of seven weeks of preparation for the three-day April carnival all contributed to make the fourth annual event such an out- standing success; however, it was unfortunate that other meetings and attractions in Richmond Hill were held during that period, adversely affecting the carnival attend- ance. Special thanks were extended' to Mr. Chuck Kiel, professional instructor, for his excellent chor- eography and training, and to the Carvinal Chairman, Mrs. H. San- derson, Supervisors Mrs. Morley Hall and Mrs. J. Grainger; Test Chairman Mrs. E. Madden, Ward- robe Mistress Mrs. L. Wainwright, Secretary Mrs. Paul Morley; Pub- licity Convenor Mrs. W.
