Vaughan Township Council met in a very short session Monday night following a planning board meeting. First item on Council’s agenda was the granting of $100 for the Woodbridge Fair. E. Stewart's tender for gravel crushing at .64c a cubic yard or .42c a ton was accepted as the lowest bid of the three tenders received. High bid was .65c a ton. The contract calls for the crush- ing of 25,000 tons of gravel from the Jacqb'sr Gravel Pit at Maple. Co-Ordinating Committee of Richmond Hill, Markham and Vaughan is the official name of the newly formed inter~municipal committee.
