MacKay Drive, held its dedica~ tlon service on Sunday Septem- ber 27, conducted by Rev. E. Morley, and assisted by Rev. Newton-Smith of St. Gabriel's, Richmond Hill. The church and parish‘hall were dedicated by Rev. E. Mor- ley along with the altar, pulpit, organ, pews and other furnish- ings from the former Emmanuel Church on Hanlan's Point. About 30 members were pres- ent from the former church, and about 140 people in all, attended the church and parish hall. The choir sang “Bless This House" at the close of the service. Presentations were made by Wardens, Mr. Les Walter and Mr. Gren Lunau to Rev. Newton- Smith for his work in forming the nucleus for the present church. He received an electric radio and clock. An honorarium was given to Miss Berry Anderson for playing the piano for the church and Sun- day school. Also presented were Mr. Harry Hill and Mr. Don Lit- tle for the work they had done in the church. Lunch was served in the parish hall following this service and was prepared by the W.A. of the church. Home From Trip Miss Gertrude Lever returned on Thursday from a vacation at her home in Flesherton. On a motor trip. she also visited In Brighton, Hanover, Owen Sound and Hope Bay. , Miss E. While there they took I trip up through Muskoka. - “Best of Breed†Winner Kreuger, 16 month old Saint Bernard from Moonlight Haven Kennels, owned by Mrs. Roberta Crumpton, 89 Spruce Avenue, Richvale, won the trophy for the best of breed at the dog show in Burlington Arena on Saturday, and placed third in the working dog group. At the reception, held at Pell- er's restaurant, Willowdale, the mother of the bride received, gowned in delphinium blue silk chiffon and taffeta, with matching feathered headdress, and wearing a corsage of pink roses. She was assisted by the mother of the groom, who was gowned in rose silk organza with matching fea- thered headdress and corsage of pink roses. Among the guests won the bride' grandmother, Mrs. D.
