Frank’s parents emigxated from Poland way back in 1929. Frank was born in K lliher. near Saskatoon, in Saskatchewan, 28 years ago. He \ as ed- ucated in the public and high schools there. After school he took a course in telegraphy to,qualify as a station\ agent for Canadian National and passed his tests successfully when he was 18. From that age until he was 25 he was employed continuously as a station agent and was engaged in every telegraph office between Winnipeg and Toronto. Blind Date Frank often visited an uncle in Toronto who used to kid him along because he showed no in- dication of any desire to get mar- ried and settled down. But in 1953 he kept a blind date and was safely landed, to his uncle's huge delight. The blind date was in the fall of 1953 and the couple were married in June 1954. They have two children. Judy aged four 1 years and Bobbie aged two years. The family has been settled in Richmond Hill for the past four and a half years. As a station ag- ent, Frank worked only four days a week and enjoyed three days free each week. The expiress of- fice unconsciously set Frank on the road to a larger future and considerable success by suggest- ing he obtain his own small truck and do delivery work. Movers & Cartage." His first further purchase of a, moving van was an antique of 1947 vintage. Today, however, he owns a modern fleet, including a 13-room tractor trailer, several seven-room vans and other three-. room vans. Promotion Manager Popular Stan Schendel, a local man, is now Frank’s Promotion? Manager and several drivers are} regularly employed. In rush times up to 20 drivers are em- ployed. Today, Frank is in busi- ness in a big way and is equip- ped and staffed and ready to take on any job at all, large or small. while he still keeps his prices within reach of all. Large Storehouse Self Built _ Frank owns a 12,000 square foot storehouse opposite his house on Industrial Road. Frank and his wife and those who work with him put the warehouse up them- selves. It is dustproofed and heat- ed. They plan to add another 6.- 000 square feet next year with an inside loading base. Frank has two and a half acres of land which he can develop as the need arises. His regular jobs now in- clude that of Agent for Allied Van Lines with trips throughout‘ Canada and the U.S.A. on a coast to coast service. They still own their original home there, which is now rented out, but moved to their present home on Industrial Road last spring, so as to be near the fleet of vans and warehouses â€" al- ways on the job. as Frank and his wife put it.
