The programme is always something to look forward to. and of course there will be a visit from Santa Claus and a Christmas treat for the children. The choir has been rehear- sing for many weeks under the direction of Mrs. Norma Jackson. whose work is well and favour- ably known in this district. Many will recall with delight the pro- gram given in the first Annual Carol service held last year. It is expected that many new friends will also be in attend- ance. Seating will again be at a premium, so those attending are advised to come early. Last Saturday’s rain and ice storm was hard for Christmas shoppers to take, but the crys- tal world that greeted us Sunday morning was worth it! Every twig was diamond tipped. Sunday morning there will be Christmas services at Sunday School and church at Brown‘s Corners with special Christmas music under the direction of Mrs. S. J. English and Miss Dor- othy Hood; and on Monday ev- ening the long awaited Christ- mas concert for the Sunday School when all the small fry take over, Santa will pay another call and the tree wil be laden with surprises! Candy for treats may be left at home of Mrs. Ross Hord. Sunday evening at Victoria Square church the CGIT and Explorers Groups as- sisted by the newly formed TYRO boys’ group will hold their annual candlelight service which is a highlight of the Christmas season. Be sure to mark it on your calendar. It is rare indeed for Mrs. Rus- sell Boyington, one of Button- ville W. ‘I.'s charter members, to miss a meeting of that or- ganization. but that is What hap- pened last week.
