R. 2 Gormley Phone TUrner 4-2236 The ’flu bug is certainly no respecter of persons. Adults and children alike in Headford have met up with it, among the for ‘ mer being Mrs. Brodie and Mrs. Rumble. However, we are glad they have recovered by now, and with Mrs. Rumble in mind, we feel constrained to mention the wonderful choir selection on Sun- day last. Sometimes I wish our dear choir leader herself could ‘ hear her choir from the back of the church. On Sunday we entered the love- ly pre-Christmas season of Ad- vent, with the sermon stressing the importance of being like "One Talent Andrew". Who could escape being very football conscious, in these days? We in Headford are particularly so, in the face of the recent Thornhill triumph. Recently they defeated Midland with a hard earned score of 20 to 19. David and John Bumble and Al- bert Leek are the Headford boys on the Thornhill team. To cele- brate, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Rumble gave a party for the whole team. A hilarious time is reported. Lorraine Acreman entertained Mrs. Peggy Brown and Danny on Wednesday last at luncheon. unnnt all sizes. e -' mm wwwwmmwnmwxummmwmmmmumummmnnnmmmnmmnmmanammmmnnmmnmm .‘gRICHMOND HEIGHTS CENTRE? ammm ‘ #323? mm. m. with green fernery.
