Mr. J. K. Clarke, treasurer of the Richmond Hill District Unit presided as chairman. Mrs. S. Ingemundsen showed an interest- ing ï¬lm, “Life Is Good." Mrs. Cecil Nichols gave an address on "Women's Services" and Mrs. A. Wilson on "Campaign." The co-chairman and commit- tees were introduced to those present from surrounding branch- es of the Society. Mr. Clarke in- troduced the officers of the Vic- toria Square Branch. Mr. Donald Plaxton gave a short talk then presented the Charter to the president, Mr. George Brands. The meeting Was adjourned and a social hour was enjoyed with Mrs. A. Binnington and Mrs. G. March 7 meeting of the Victoria Square and Dis- trict Lions Club was held in the Victoria Square Community Hall. The meeting was the annual Agriculture Night, and was at- tended by a good representation of farmers, junior farmers, the 4-H Club and visiting Lions from King Lions Club who were wei- comed by Lion President, Law- son Mumberson. Mr. George Robson of the Maple Shur-Gain Farm was the guest speaker._ During the business period ar- rangements were made to have a “Dumb-Waiter†installed in the Hall, as a donation from the Club. This will be a great convenience to the ladies catering to various groups. A report was given by Lion Treasurer Forest Dullege outlining general projects and donations by the club during the past months, comprising: Health and Welfare, $179.75.
