She felt the children should be allowed to watch to get a better under- standing of why they take their pennies to school. Present legislation provides that Metro shall provide a court house for both its own use and that of the county, with York County paying a share of the expense. [Good Time To Act ‘ Provision of a new court house has been long delayed, the let- ter points out. Metro has made application to the Ontario Mun- icipal Board for approval of cap- ital expenditure of $13,650,000 for the purpose. Cost of acquir- ing land will be an extra $2.- 000,000. Consequently, says the county letter signed by County Clerk-Treasurer J. L. Smith. this is an appropriate time to consider early provision of a separate court house for the county. i The uncertainty of the posi- tion of the county with regard to its ï¬nancial obligation is a matter of grave concern to the county, the letter declares. Metro and the county have been unable to agree on a formula to determine sharing of cost of a new Toronto court house. An application has been made to the Ontario Municipal Board to determine the issue. Judgment has been reserved and. so far, no order has been made.
