This is the charitable project ilhese Grand Lodges contribute to - and they are responsible for their upkeep. It was there- fore with a sense of pleasure and accomplishment they toured the home, for their first view of the lovely building. Later they were entertained at tea in the large sun-filled dining room. Jaycees’ Picnic Mrs. Giles Kerswill’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Compton and family of Detroit visited her on Sunday. Grand Master Warren, of Newfoundland, who is GM. for all Canada with the British- American Orange Association, visited the L.T.B. and Orange Home, Richmond Hill, last weekend. Master Visits MONA ROBERTSON TU. 4-1396 The Richmond Hill Jaycees are giving the child-ten of the Orange Home a picnic on the spacious home grounds, this Saturday. The children of the Orange Home spent one wonderful day at the CNE, doing all the sights, having a delicious luncheon; then an afternoon in the grand- stand (delighting in the antics of the 3 youâ€"know-who's) and topped it with a bountiful sup- per before leaving for home. Choir Entertained Mrs. Leon Harden entertain- ed members of St. John’s choir at her Lake Wilcox home on Wednesday evening of last week. 0f intereu to those adults who would like to join the local church choir. practice will now commence at 8 pm. on Wed- nesdays at St. John‘s. Mrs. Har- den is interested in any men or women who like to sing, and invites them to come to chair rehearsal next week. Several well-known local res- idents have sold their houses during this summer and moved to other districts. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson and family have moved to Richmond Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Rivers and family are now living in Agincourt. Another house sold necently was the Ridout residence. The contents of the house were sold by auction August 29th. Two of the local young people will enter private schools this week to continue their educa- tion. Signe Igmundson, B-ayview Ave.; who will enter Mary Mount Girls’ Academy at An- caster, 0nt.. on Labor Day. Dan-y Tiffin, who has been» a student at Thornlea School, will enter Upper Canada College as a boarding pupil. Correspondent Mrs. B. Green Lane, was stricken with a heart attack at work Monday and was rushed to the Western Hospital. Correction In last week’s column it was stated that Mrs. Don Mott had broken her ankle. It should have read Mrs. William Mott. has passed a bylaw for the an- nexation of part of Vaughan Township. The bylaw is subject to OMB approval.
