Doug McInnis opened the scoring for the Leafs at 10.55 of the first period and it was not until 18.50 that Bob Baird of Concord tied the score. Concord Down Leafs 6-4 Nick Nowoselski started the second period off with a roar by driving home a shot at 1.30 to send Concord into the lead, Matt Kinnari scored two for the‘ Leafs to tie the score at two all with his first goal at 3.00 of the period while his second goal scored at 9.05 gave the Leafs a 3-2 lead. It was a lead very briefly held as the Con- cord team scored three very {fast goals. Baird scored at 13.40 to tie the score 3-3 while goals by Ron Brown at 15.20 and John Hall at 16.20 sent the Flyers ahead 5-3 at the end of the pe- riod. Hall scored for Concord at the 17.40 mark of the final stanza to make the score 6-3 in favour of Concord. Frank Mas- hinter popped a shot into the Flyer net at 17.50 of the period to make the final score 6-4 for the underdog Concord team. Leaside Larks 11 Aurora Macs 4 In the final league game of the season, the fourth place Leaside Larks swamped the Aurora Macs under an 11-4 score. T&C-Bradford Tie Series Opener 3 all Paul Smart scored five ‘for the Lax-ks, John Killop and Dave McInnes two each while Tom Kelly and Charlie Saito tallied one each. Brian Groundsell, John Mc- Knight, Wayne Taylor and Bill Simpson were the Aurora marksmen. Town & Country Midgets tied 3 all with Bradford last Friday night at Richmond Hill. This was the first game of a round robin series to decide playoff contenders for the North York League title. Bruce Sim paced the TOC at- tack with two goals and Ken Croak fired home one. Doug Carter and Phil Dohbs were credited with assists. Bradford goals were scored by Richard Golby who got two and Chris Albeck one. Concord Flyers, who finished third in the regu- lar schedule standing of the senior league, opened a best two out of three series against the league- Winning Richmond Hill Leafs. For years these two fine young athletes have worked and trained toward one end. The pairs figure skating championship of the world.
