Richmond Hill Red Cross blood donor clinic will aim for 300 pints at its next call for donors August 28. At last Thursday’s blood donor clinic held at the library. Red Cross workers and volun- teers registered 187 donors of which only 175 were accepted. Branch Blood Clinic Chair- man Dr. J. M. Wachna said he was a little disappointed in the turn-out compared to January this year when more than 250 pints were collected. He said August’s clinic would be given more advance publicity on time and place. “The blood supply is in a critical situation right now. particularly with forthcoming holiday weekends.” he said. Dr. Wachna commended vol- unteer workers from the Catholic Women's League, Women’s Institute, Maple Pres- byterian Church members, Anglican Church Auxiliary members and the Richmond Hill I.O.D.E. for their assist- ance in registering and serving refreshments to donors.
