First there was the first show of the newly~formed Toronto Area Regional Group of the Canadian Iris Society held in conjunction with the local iris show. There was an excellent showing of bloom and color by the iris group which was judged by Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Richardson of Hamilton, and Mrs. W. H. Harris of the East York Horticultural Society. There is also a section for juniors where young people learn how to plan. plant and care for various types of gardens. There were numerous ideas for home gard- eners. such as seeding Mich- aelmas daisies in the tulip bed. and the color slides were sim- ply gorgeous. Mr. Laking was introduced by R. D.
