The walkway to the southeast corner of the ground has also received a coat of gravel to keep the children out of the mud. This emergency measure was taken when recent rains turned the grounds at the school, where building operations were underway all summer. into a sea of mud. At the Walter Scott School paving work valued at $1,600 is being done, and it will be recommended to the 1965 board that the municipality be asked to pave the ditches at this school in an effort to improve drainage conditions.
