Born and raised in Vaughan Township, she is the eldest child of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McGillvary, pioneer farmers of the seventh concession.. In the late 1880’s she married Henry Wesley Peterman, also from Vaughan. They had four children, of whom two are still living. Mr. Peterman died 29 years ago. Mrs. Peterman has six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, she enjoys good health and takes a keen interest in local affairs.
