The accident occurred on Yonge Street. just north of the Levendale Road traffic lights. and involved cars driven by Jack Hart. Aurora: John Kun- napuu. Of late years he has special- ized in building churches â€"- a Christian education building at the First Baptist Church in Galt, and organized and built Pleasant Park Baptist Church in Ottawa. from which he came to Richmond Hill at the request of the church extension board to guide St. John‘s through a build-‘ ing campaign. It is three years} since he was appointed to this. field and the work for which he‘ came is done, the first unit ofi the church being up and in use‘ for the past eight months. It is 46 years since Mr. Ben- nett preached his first sermon and over 40 years since he was ordained. Mr. and Mrs. Ben- nett now plan what may be called an “active retirement." in which. without assuming the full responsibilities of another pastorate, Mr. Bennett will be available for supply preaching and any other work in which he can serve at a change of pace, if not a slower one. consists of three years in a hos-i pital school of nursing. one year‘ studying public health nursinzl at a school of hygiene, and a year preparing to be a midwife. These nurses are assisted by 151 auxiliary community health nurses, who have two years training in the public health field. These nurses and assist- ants provide school service, mat- ernity and' child welfare ser- vices, special services to tuber- 'lculosis and leper patients and ~1those who have malnutrition or . are orphans. Services and Sunday school activities will continue to be held regularly at the church on Oxford Street until Mr. Ben- nett's successor is appointed.
