Mr. Burkart, who lived at 7 Delair Crescent in‘ Thornhill, 'had been bothered with heart trouble for the last few years. He was the son of the late Babe Burkart, of foot- ball fame. and Mrs. Edna Burk- art of Willowdale. Township Solicitor Paul Min- gay informed Mr. Jamieson that the two parties had come to an agreement and ‘he was request- ing an indefinite adjournment. He was marketing sales man- ager for Kruger Pulp and Paper in Weston and a member of the Board of Trade Country Club in Woodbridge. Mr. Burk- art and his family lived in Oak- ville before they moved to Thornhill seven years ago. Surviving Mr. Burkart are his mother. Mrs. Edna Burkart of Willowdale; his wife. the former Carol Howardene Michael; and six children, Mrs. Paul Vyskuâ€" paitis (Denise), Deborah, Kelly, Michael, Nancy and Scott. He also leaves four brothers, Bill Burkart and Bruce Burkart, both of California. Philip Bur- kart of Whitby and Brian Bur- kart of Brampton. as well as one sister‘ Mrs. Mary Armstrong of Toronto. Father Thomas Chidlow offl- clated at the funeral mass at St. Luke's Church. Interment was in Brooklyn Graveside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Logan Forsythe, Ivor Hughes. Ray Bentley, Reg Parr.
