Bail was set at $1,000 and his case was re- manded a week. Three police departments, from Markham Village, Mark- ham Township and Stouffville, joined forces Monday night to apprehend a wanted car. CROSBY HEIGHTS The town's recreation pro- gram will make use of Crosby Heights south gymnasium Mon- day evenings. This gym will be used by Guides Tuesday even- ings, YWCA Wednesday even- ings and Guides again on Thursday evening. The school’s home and school association will use the gymnasium on four nights during the year. Use of facilities in Richmond Hill's six public schools extends well into the evening hours, it was revealed when a schedule of this year’s activities was ac- cepted by the school board, meeting in Beverley Acres School September 26. l BEVERLEY ACRES Beverley Acres School gym- nasium is used by Cubs and the Christian Service Brigade Monday evenings. by Brownies and Venturers Tuesday even- ings. by Guides Wednesday evenings and by Scouts Thurs- day evenings. Their furlough was due this year. but because of scarcity of workers on the field, they vol- unteered to serve an extra (Rev. Willi Hunkinq on the happenings of this area. for their son Brian and daugh- ter Patsy arrived in Gormley on July 15. Brian is now at- tending Bayview Secondary School and Patsy is enrolled in the new Thornlea Secondary School. The other three children. Faye. Garth and Mary attend Rockhaven, a boarding school located at Jon. Nigeria. 400 miles away from their parents. This summer when our Gormley correspondent, Mrs. Charles Milsted. her daughter Charleen and nephew Ronald Gooding of Richmond Hill, were in Nigeria. they spent two nights with the Hunkings in Ilorin and also visited the children at Rockhaven. Mrs. Hunking is the former Marion Hunt of Gormley, a graduate of Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing. Brian and Patsy are now living with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Elliott of Gorm- ley. Mr. Hunking’s brother. Rev. Clarence Hunking, served as pastor of Gormley United Mis- sionary Church for some years and is now in Kitchener. Timothy Cressman. 16. was suspended two weeks ago by the school principal, Fred Bradley, because he had a beard. Everyone enjoyed themselves and all went home full of hap- piness and corn. We held our first meeting on the 18th and welcomed our new members.
