Neighborhood Notes A group of junior farmers from the United Kingdom and Europe enjoyed a three-day stopover in York County recent- Lv. while enroute to Western Canada. Staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leek was Anne Marie Lehmann from Switzerland. The group visited Niagara Falls and points of in- terest in Toronto and shopped in some of the Richmond Hill ltores. Lisa Sta'ton was one of a group of students from Thorn- [ea Secondary School who par- ticipated in a hike on the Bruce Trail recently. Vicioria Square UCW mem- bers were guests of Headford UCW at their usual. Monday evening meeting. « The film “A Place to Stand" was shown. 'I‘h:a community extends best wishes to Kathleen Burton and Doug Curr whose engagement was announced April 17. Kath- leen and Keith Burton celebrat- ed their birthdays April 16. Birthday greetings to Richard Burton who celebrated his 19th on April 14. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Staton spent a pleasant afternoon Sat- urday “cleaning up" around their house and after dinner visited Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jones and children at Klein- burg. The Sunday school decorating ls finished. The new paint which is a light yellow. compli- ments the furniture very well. The Congregation owes a vote of thanks to all who assisted with the painting. Judging will be done during thp month of June by recognizj ed horticulturists.
