Name New Directors‘ For Unionville Skaters 3 Sixty-two members attended the annual meeting May 7 of the Unionville Skating Club which saw 12 directm's elected for the 1969-70 season. They are: Jim Irving. .lohn Haining. Mrs, Carol Hale. Mrs. Dorene Trunk. Mrs. Bernie Bradley. Mrs. Emily Mulhol- land. Mrs. Evelyn Jones, Ken Page. John Heighway. Mrs. Norma Craib. Rod Brook. and I; Mrs. Gail George. ‘ The meeting saw a new grouping of skaters as to age classifications: juvenile, 4â€"7 years or 1-8 badges: junior. 8-101 V years of preliminary dances oriv‘ preliminary figures: intermedi-“" ate. 11-13 years or junior bronze dances or lst figure: senior. 14 years and over or senior bronze, 2nd figure. or bronze free. New ice schedules were also finalized: Monday. juvenile. 4 to 5:30 pm: juniors. 5:30 to 7 pm: intermediates. 7:55 to 9:25; adults. 9:30 to 11 pm. Wednesday. juveniles. 4 to 5:30 pm; seniors, 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Saturday. juniors. 8:45 to 10:15 am: intermediates. 10:30 to 12 noon; senior. 1 to 2:30; pm. ‘ Some or the. club's new pro-‘ fessional staff were present at the meeting including Janice Grainger of Richmond Hill.‘ Mary Jane Oke. and Hans Ahl- ‘ gren. Brenda Ramsay and John Wild will be with the club again for the new season. There are still two new members of thei professional staff to be named. Frank VGrabarc-huk Twp. Dumping ' Frank Grabarchuk. owner of‘ two lots at the corner of Weld- rick Road and Yonge Street will be required to clean up the property as a result of a by- law passed May 20 by Vaughan Township Council. Mr. Gra- harchuk is a resident of Rich- mond Hill. It was reported that numer ous complaints had been re‘ ceived by the. building depart- ment during the last. few months about conditions on the lots. They were described by Councillor Louis Wainwright. who lives in the area, “a disgrace to the township. It‘s another township dump in dis- guise with everything there from old bed springs to old toilets. The sooner we can get it cleaned up the better." Reeve Garnet Williams agreed. cementing. “It‘s an eye- sore. T don‘t know how he has got away with it as long as he has.“ However. It was reported that. efforts have been made to‘ have Mr. Grabarchuk correct the conditions. On May 2 a let- ter was delivered to him by the townships bylaw enforcement officer. advising him that if the garbage was not cleaned up immediatly. council would be asked to pass a bylaw on May 20, requiring the work to he done. Council was told Mr. Graharfl chuk had not made any move1 to rectify the situation and gave three readings to the by- law. which then became ef- fective when ,signed by the‘ reeve and clerk. V. O. N.
