Fred's Shell and Contractors played with a win by Fred’s of 2-0. Reid Warner and Brian Bailey were the scorers for Fred's with Seige Pflug. Ron Ryzek and Jim Moorehead each earning an assist. OMHA Peewees December 3. the Maple team played at Beeton and gave their hosts the first trouncing of the year. Maple came away with a 3-2 win. Steven Jones. David Suther- land and Tom Weidenfelder scored the goals with assists by Jeff Shaw. Bill Cromb, Steve Jones and Ken Jellison. Steve Sherman netted two goals with Bill Gromb, Steve Jones. This program was planned with several volunteers. This is a group newly formed in Teston and a good attendance would be most encouraging, as well as a moving experience for anyone who appreciates the true meaning of Christmas and the beauty of a Christmas service by candlelight. Get well soon and a speedy homecoming are wished for Mr. Thorfell. The lst. Concord Guides had a fly - up from Brownies December 3 at the Church of Christ. Shelley Todd, Janice Ward, Vivian Hanson and Ellen Mimer became Guides. Parents attended and refreshments were served. Three Guides acted as hostesses for the even- ing. A happy 46th Wedding an- niversary is wished for Mr. and Mrs. Bert Witty of Arnold Av- enue, Thornhill, former resi- dents of Concord. Everyone is welcome at the Church of Christ. Concord Road and King High Drive this com- ing Friday evening at 7:30 to the “Bible School and Parents‘ night.” The students will give recitations, sing action songs and perform skits with a mes- sage. The topic for the evening will be “How, When, Where and Why Love?” A social time with refreshments will conclude the evening. For Beeton it was Richard Douglas and Warren Homes each notching a goal with Pat Kennedy and Bob Brown assist- ing. The game against Schomberg Saturday at Doublerink was a much different story for Maple who started off flying and picked up two quick goals only to fade and end up being drub- bed. Mike Kitchen led Schomberg with three goals and an assist followed by Peter Beck with two goals and an assist. Barry Corbett and Ricky Archibald also assisted. Stapley saved Maple's face with the two goals with assists to Bruce Bailey and Rickey Brooker. The Sutton game Monday saw the Maple team come up with a fine effort considering they were hampered by having three experienced players sideâ€" lined. The Sutton team also played a good, aggressive game. Denny Stanley, Rickey Brooker, and Mario De Piero each scbred one for Maple and the assists went to Greg Payne, two. De Piero, Chick Lloyd and Bruce Bailey. Sutton goals were by Norm Burrows, Don Sloan and Leslie Jerome, one each. Assists went to Brent Eustace, Grant Allison, and Don Sloan. Maple Bantams Split With Win, loss, Tie The Maple Surf Marine Ban- tams split it three ways in as many games last week as they came up with a win, a tie, and a loss in OMHA play. Maple tied Sutton 3-3. whip- ped Beeton 4-2. and lost 5-2 to Schomberg.
