Down 2-0 with seven minutes to play, Ken Moore scored on an assist from Gillison and sparked the team to a final closing effort. O’Brian’s assist to Morre tied the game and Bob Kennaway got the winning goal with 40 seconds left to register the 3-2 win. It is at times like these when thanks must be given to drivers (parents) who get the boys to the games, and cheer them on. After the tournament and the inclement weather, they did not get back to Thornhill until 2:45 am Monday morning. Un- ited’s assists are credited to Mark Cowie, Hugh Wilkinson, Steve Davis, Drew Warga, Steve Hutton and Jeff Valliant. The lone marker for Holy Trin- ity was scored by Mike Leon- ard, assisted by Tom Palmer and Mark Collard. ‘ St. Edward’s No. l 5 , Thornhill Presbyterians z 1 Bill McCulloch opened the scoring in the second minute of play, and scored again in the second period trying to keep the Presbyterians in the game. He was adjusting a chain holding the load on his truck at about 12:30 ‘pm on Woodbine Avenue (formerly' Don Mills Road) when another truck came by. The passing vehicle sent him spinning into the road, but luckily there was no more traf- fic immediately upon him. Mr. Mortson had a bone chip- ped in his back and bruises on his left knee. He will be away from work for a while, but was able to go home to recover. Wilfred Mortson, 40. of '73 Wright Street, Richmond Hill, narrowly escaped death or ser- ious injury December 18 when he was knocked from the top of a loaded truck into the roadway. The di‘iver of the other was Leo Ryan, 47, of 59 hill Boulevard, Unionville. The accident took place near the. intersection of Woodbine with Esna Park Drive. There was no damage to the two trucks involved. Thomas Mangoff, 26, of 266 Jones Avenue, Toronto, had both legs cut and damage esti- mated at $1000, Markham Town- ship Police said. Damage Was heavy in a head- on collision December 13 at about midnight on Steeles Aveâ€" nue, Jxé-mile east of Leslie Street. Both drivers were in- jured. Edward Aukema, 27, of 69 Crestwood Road, Thornhill, had injuries to his legs and right wrist, plus head lacerations. His car had an estimated $3,000 damage.
