After more than a year of preparation, York County Ro- man Catholic School Board is launching its family life edu- cation program in seven grades in three schools. This group re- fused the prize as they feel their stock of selections is not great enough for the eight-week gig. An 11-car 312.500 pile-up on Woodbine Avenue at Bethesda Sideroad in Whitchurch-Stouff- ville at 1.30 o‘clock Sunday af- ternoon was the biggest crash. Further along Woodbine (for- merly Don Mills Road) at St. John Sideroad there were sev- eral more big crashes. Another chain-reaction crash involved nearly as many cars and nearly as much property damage on the four-lane High~ way 7 section of Bathurst Street in Vaughan Town. Four of the nine cars in this $10,000 crash had local drivers. The teachers who will be do- ing the teaching were part of a group of 17 from the system who attended a six-week sum- mer course in 1970 at Thunder Bay under direction of Father Leo Lafi'enier. an outstanding authority on family life edu- cation. 4| Vehicles Damaged In Six Crashes One at 1.50 pm involved four vehicles and $2.400 damage. More To Follow Soon He recommended also that an- other group of teachers, a pastor and a trustee go to Thunder Bay again this summer. He did not - recommend ap- pointment of a co-ordinator.
