MIDGETS Newmarket 3, Legion 0 The Legion Midgets got off to a bad start on the weekend as they came out on the short end of a 3-0 score in Newmar- ket Saturday night. Even though the locals outshot Newmarket‘ many of their shots were from‘ long range. The Newmarket goalie stopped 30 shots to re-i cord his shutout. ‘ The Newmarket Club came out hitting from the opening faceoff and it was a simple case of being outhustled throughout the game. Legion 4, Thornhill 1 Saturday in Thornhill Jeff Wood was the big gun as he scored two goals and garnered assists on two more as the Leg- ionnaires dumped Thornhill 4â€"1.
