,Speaklng of Saturday night brings to mind the fun we all had at the April Frolic. Not very many attended but those who did had themselves a gay old time. The “Country Squires” supplied the music and we can assure you that their efforts were not wasted. Sure would do this old heart good if they would come back again right soon. While gathering this informa- tion. we had the pleasure of meeting Ed and Dorothy Baker as they left the dance floor. They had just won a spot prize. Don't think they won any dishes but sure had a laugh when Dorothy told us how she broke the boys' poker club from mak- ing her chief cook and bottle washer. We pass it on to you. It is always a pleasure to re- new old acquaintances but it is more fun making new ones. This was never more true than at the “Pub Nite". hosted by Branch 375 on Thursday of last week. Our spry sergeant-major spent an evening bowling When he had finished this exhausting (for him) sport. nothing would do but return to ye olde Legion to relax. This time he brought along some bowling buddies. Now everyone knows that no gentleman ever bests a lady in sportsâ€"let alone really beats her by egging on her spouse to do likewise. To make a long story short the lady bought a ticket for the mystery draw. Number 84 was the winning ticket and guess who had 'it. Right; Mrs. "Joey" Kennedyi Cnnm.s..l-u,,., Gradually getting caught up with ourselves, we sincerely hope you all had a most wond- erful Easter Season. Some lucky people we know share Easter time birthdays. And what better day to celebrate! This time we send birthday greetings to Mrs. Rita Hopson. may you have many more. This also applies to the rest of our friends. Dot decidéd enough Vwaé we can't remember whether they said 21 years old or the 21st of the month. Anyway Mrs. Rosamond Eakinsâ€"all our best wishes. Gosh so much has been hap- pening lately that we have not been able to keep up with things. At the hockey dinner last week there was mention of a beautiful lady's birthday; we would like to wish her many happy returns of the dayâ€"but We are desolate and down 7 __ 29 Yonge Street North.
