She looked . . . and is . every inch 3. Queen. On this occasion all 53 contestants acted as host- esses at a table where executives were seated. At Debbie’s table, Bill Kostoff of Purex (and from Richmond Hill) was a guest. But for the finals . . . when she was crowned Queen . . . Debbie wore the white gown seen in her picture. It is full length and made from crimpoline . . . of which material her mother, Carolyn, says, “Crimpolene is one of the most fantastic materials they have ever come up with.” However . . . Debbie was far-sighted enough to keep out the $260 “David Rea” navy blue and white satin crepe evening gown (size 10) and she wore this lovely outfit to the Labor Day Parade and the CNE finals. During the other '20 days, Debbie wore clothes she had made herself (she is an accomplished dress- maker) and others bought from our local Reitman’s aCnd Kraemar dress stores at Richmond Heights entre. At the preliminaries, which included a luncheon, Debbie wore a navy and white sleeveless, low. back, hot-pants flared dress.
