Chris Dugan was held at Brown's Corners United Sunday morning. 'Mr. Dugan died suddenly at Vancouver on Tuesday of last week. A communion service will be held at Brown's Corners United on Sunday and on October 15 an evening service will be held to lid the Bible Society. After- 'ward there will be a fireside hour, Rev. Allen Hallett paid trib- ute to Mr. Dugan. The proces- sional hymn was one which he had requested many times dur- ing his ministry: “Praise My Soul the King of Heaven". Chris'. as he was affectionately known among his parishoners. came to the church as minister in 1970 when it became a one point charge. He introduced much that was innovative and gracious and his services were a joy to attend. When he left in 1970 to become senior minister at Strathmore United in Dorval. Quebec, he was sadly missed. The hockey series in Russia occupied much time over the past few Weeks and some local people went to Russia to attend the games there Among them were Andy Grant and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jewitt. Mr. and Mrs. Kai Eskesen have moved from their home on Woodbine Avenue south of Highway 7 and are now living at Tntfenham. The community is sorry to lose them.
