Neighborhood Notes Sympathy is expressed to Mrs. William Ash and Ron- ald Holmes in the passing of their stepfather James Wells on Sunday at Green Gables Nursing Home. Mr. Wells was buried from the Thompson Funeral Home in Aurora on Tuesday. Congratulations to Norman Carrington who won quite a number of prizes for his rab- bits at the Royal Winter Fair. Congratulations to George Leary, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leary who was the Canadian Junior Cham- pion of Trap Shooting. 'I‘he finals were held in Edmon- ton, Alberta. George is also Ontario In- ternational Gold Medalist, the Grand American Sub. Junior Champion of 16 yard class and received several other trophies. George and his parents at- tended the awards dinner in Richmond Hill where George was presented with an en- graved plaque showing his recent achievements. Mrs. Winnifred Gillies of North Bay has been visiting her friend Mrs. Norman Brown. Travelways Families Ride Bus To Florida For Study Holiday Mr. and Mrs. William Grant of Stayner enjoyed a visit for several days with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith.
