Coach Carl Clutchey has put together a team of very strong players. who are now beginning to jell. The game against Bradâ€" ford Nov‘ember 18 was a clas- sic example of team work and second efforts by all players paying off for a team. John Bell scored twice for Thornhill, with Jeff Eassun and Randy Barr scoring one each. The Thornhill goal-tend- ers, Jody Hurlbut and Tom Morris, both deserve a round of applause for their con- sistent effort throughout the game‘ The defense play- ed a strong back-checking game and did not hesitate around their OWn end. Richmond Hill 2 Thornhill 0 The game against the Hill November 19 was not quite so successful, but they were able to keep the Hillers to only two goals. The Thornhill team has the potential and desire. With determination and hard work, the recipe for a win- ner is here. Alliston5, Thornhill 2 This game on Wednesday‘ of last week against Alliston‘ was a great disappointment, as the Thornhill team more than held their own in the game until the last five minutes. Until those fatal five minutes, Thornhill had a 2-1 edge, on tallies by Mike Danckert and Jeff Eassun. Four fast goals by Alliston put them well ahead. Thornhill 2, Alliston 2 The Thornhill team was playing again as a very solid, hard-skating team, for the first two periods Saturday. They tallied a two-goal lead on scores by Eassun and ‘Robbie Spittle. These were well executed goals and came about as the result of great team effort.
