Enough idle wanderings, lets get down to some seri- ous news. Here is one item that gives us great pleasure to report. December ‘1.was a big day in the Morrison family. Mr. and Mrs. George Morrison celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. To George and his lovely lady we extend our very sin- cere congratulations. May they reach their diamond jubilee. Heading home from the hills last week. we took a short cut through the grounds of Bedlam Abbey. We missed the matron but chatted for a while with some of the inmates. Seems with the cold weather. there had been some new arrivals in the form of birds that haunt the bush for the winter months. What had them all agog was the arrival of a robin in with the grosbeaks. juncoes, nut hatches and other assorted birds. Wonder if that silly robin had ideas of being a grosbeak or was he lost from Capistrano. This next item really has a swing. Member of the color guard of Branch 375 raised funds enough to put themselves into kilts. For over a year they have been talking of the formation of a pipe band for Branch 375. Last week a committee was formed to get this project off the ground. CHAIRMAN ELECTED At this meeting a band committee chairman was elected from interesting par~ tics. Chairman Bob Dickson is at the helm and will be most interested to meet any- one that would like to be part of this band. The Richmond Hill Centennial Pipe Band 375 is one long needed. For further information anyone may contact Chairman Dick- son at 884-4907 anytime after 6 nm. How about it? Everyone knows that Branch 375 sponsors 778 Squadron Air Cadets. Did you know that this squadron has accepted young ladies into their unit? This am- bitious group of officers and other members have great plans for the future.
