Objectives of the operation are to observe the schools in action and to evaluate their programs in everything from academic services to maintenance. Making up the Mirror teams are staff members down the line from principal to the director of education. 'No dark of the night oper- ation. during the experimen- tal stages an invitation must be issued ‘by a school staff to the superintendent of the area. Following that. a group of supervisory officials will meet with the school staff to establish specisfic objec- tives and to develop a speci- fic plan to observe and col- lect data for the Mirror team. 'I‘he latter will in turn re- port its observations and dis- cuss the accumulated data with the staff and supervis- ory officials Sympathy is expressed to Mrs. Ross Chapman and fam- ily in the passing of Ross in Toronto General Hospital due to a heart attack. Richmond Hill ACCOUNTAX SERVICES GORMLEY 884-1538 (Continued from Page 2) Lynne the cast and wives, husbands and guests made merry at a party given by Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jones in their attractive country estate on 19th Avenue. Dennis Stainer (that arch Villian of EL) read an 'Ode to the Play’ (the usual custom) to the assorted booes, hisses, applause and much hilarity from his avid listeners. Another premiere performance took place in the pre-Christmas atmosphere, when Louise Rob- ertson, a former Richmond Hill High School stud- ent (now affiliated with York University) pro- duced and directed her own play (complete with her own musical scores). Louise was assisted in direction by Dramatist David Phillips of Rich- mond Hill. Two 10cal actors, David Smith and Adrian Truss, who are studying at Ryerson, took notable lead parts in the one act play, “What If He Came Tonight". East Lynne’s cast was “terrificâ€; the cos- tumes and sets were excellent . . . and we’d just like to add that one beautiful blonde sacrificed her 'looks’ in a marvelous small part â€" all for the sake of Art. The play itself was a conception of the behind-the-scenes struggles and bigotry displayed by those presenting the Christmas Story. Adrian Truss as David, proved that “outward appear- ances†were by no means a judge of one’s poten- tial “worthâ€. Vicki Small, as Sue, showed great strength in her role; as did Dave Smith and Rick Makon- honiuk (York University). CGIT members were delightful in their three roles â€" The Nativity Scene; The Huron] Carol, illustrated, and a mod- ern conception of the Nativity, if He came now. The supporting cast enacted various “scenes†off centre, while the adult cast held their discus- sion on stage. A capacity audience applauded the Greenborough Players, at the community church, Keele Street. East and west did meet when Pleasantville Public School Choir, under the direction of Mrs. J. Wales and Bayview Secondary School Band, conducted by Gordon Fleming put on their annual “Sounds Of Christmasâ€. Tell you about that next time.
