He said the waste management branch would recommend the Liverpool site for immediate use on the basis of technical data. It is north of Conces- sion 3 between a CPR Line and a hydro corridor at Liverpool Road and will re- quire road relocation. The proposed Brock North and Brock South sites lie south of Highway 7, spanning Con- cession 5 and reaching almost to Concession 4. Three Sanitary landfill Sites In Pickering Get Approval A three-to-‘five year solu- tion of Metro Toronto's garb- age disposal problem has been made possible by a re- cent report of ’the Environ- mental Hearing Board which recommends approval of all three sanitary landfill sites in Pickering Township with the exception of a small por- tion of the North Brock site. Metro must obtain approval from the Ontario Municipal Board before it can develop any site for landfill purposes, so these recommendations do not necessarily mean that the sites will be used for this purpose. The tragedy is that most of the beach is private, you sort of have to beg or sneak your way in. Appar- ently most of New England's good beach areas are private- ly owned.
