There is. however, a need for a great deal more inter- est. before #h‘e venture could be considered successful. Granted. there are some long waits for buses. particularly on return trips into Maple, but these certainly cannot be increased unless they are used. We have no word of any- one being ill or in hospital this week. We hope that no news is good news and that there are none on the sick list. Most of our readers are probably aware that our in- terest lies in transportation, and we are pleased to see increased interest in the TTC buses that have been running regularly scheduled trips from Maple. We do feel that, particu- larly at this time of year, when driving can be hazard- ous, we are indeed fortunate in having transportation avail- able. and we hope that more and more local residents will make an attempt to use the service. If any information is re- quired, John Plunkett at the Town of Vaughan offices 832-2281 will be most happy to oblige. At the moment, the most important note that we have for our local seniors is a planned visit to the Ice F01- lies during the month of January. We strongly urge all sen- iors to call their travel and excursion representatives for further information, or to be sure that this outing is on the agenda for the meetings of January 7 or 8.
