The Environmental Protection Act requires a public hearing prior to approval of a new garbage dump. A public hearing on a new 20 acre site will be held on March 12, at 10 o’clock a.m., in the Maple Community Hall. Disposal Services are'presently dumping without approval of the Ministry of the Environment on this new site in Maple. This, and other companies, have applications before the Ministry for massive long term garbage dumping in Vaughan (50 million tons on over 800 acres).
