The Gormley WI met on Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Gretta Noble with eight members and one guest present. Mrs. Norm Brown read the Gazette which had been pre- pared by Mrs. Harry Smith. Mrs. Fred Munroe was in charge of the program on immigration and led an open discussion to which the mem- bers freely contributed. Miss Ferne Doner has re- turned to her duties in Re- gina. Saskatchewan. after spending three weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Doner. Connie Ash, Colin Nesbitt. Ray Wells, Kim Burnett and Cindy Beaven left on Tues- day with their school group for an eight day holiday in Mexico City. Mrs. Muriel Harman and David accompanied the resi- dents of Daybreak Home on a two week Easter tour to England and France. Mr. and Mrs. John Bucha- nan and family of St. Catha- rines were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Briggs-Jude. Rick Briggs-Jude is spend- ing a week skiing in Banff, Alberta. Church News A very successful missio- nary convention closed on Sunday night at the Missio- nary Church. A highlight in the Sunday morning service wes the playing of a tape made by Mr. and Mrs. Allan‘ Donar of Ilorin. Nigeria, Af- rica. Allan and Dorine are supported by the Gormley church. A special Good Friday ser- vice will be held at 10:30 am in Heisc Hill Church.
