Neighborhood Notes This week birthday wishes go to Wayne Katzmier who will be 10 August 1. to Stacey Bulova who will be 11 August 2. to Jasmin Prachter who will be eight August 6 and to Gerald Stehouwer who will be seven and Kim Stewart will be eight August Doug and Brucette Water- ston of Manitoba have been visiting Brucette's family Mr. and Mrs. George Tooley, 17th Avenue, and Doug's parents Mr. and Mrs. Waterston of Unionville, recently, Doug. a Guelph graduate, is raising pigs on his farm operation out west. There will be morning prayer Sunday at 10:30 am at St. John's Anglican Chur- ch. Jefferson. Last Sunday at St. John's there was a celebration of Holy Communion with Rev. Charles Ledger officiating and preaching. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hord spend some time at David’s in Foxboro near Belleville and more recently have Judy's children to visit them daily. Judy's husband, Mar- shall Benson, is starting a new business venture and Judy is assisting him for the time being. ' I Jim and Elsie Hood have :been weekending with Keith .and Millie Hood at their cottage on Four Mile Lake near Coboconk. Ted and Bonnie Hood spend their free time with Bonnie‘s parents at Balsam Lake. 'Friends were sorry to learn of Mrs. Bill McArthur's ill- ness. She has been in Scar- boro Centenary Hospital but is making good progress now. Mr. Fred Tennyson is pre- sently in the Extendicare Unit on Steele‘s Avenue near Leslie Street. Susan Buchanan who is spending her vacation from Western University has co- ordinated the town play- grounds program and is now concentrating on the new program at ‘New Adventure Playground‘ in the bush by the Heintzman House on Royal Orchard Boulevard. Thornhill. where children from slick subdivisions in the neighborhood can play at roughing it. There is an en- closure with a stockade, a creek, building materials â€"â€"- they can swing from trees, dig holes. Sharon says they love it. The Tennyson family had an early vacation this year, spending time at Flene10n Falls and in the Peterboro area late in June. Among other Buttonvilâ€" lians at the golf club this summer are Mrs. Rae Do- naldson and Cheryl Tenny- son (nights & weekends) â€" During the day Cherryl may be found at the office of The Toronto Daily Star in Rich- mond Hill. Brian Buchanan is working with the Markham Parks and Recreation maintenance staff this summer. In September he begins his university career at Lakehead Univer- sity in Thunder Bay. Kirby Parton is attending summer school during the day, and working hard even- ings and weekends at Button- ville Golf and Country Club to earn money for a new trumpet. Rodick and her daughter Grace (Mrs. Ted Early) of London. were in Peterboro for several days last month and while there visited Rev. Austin and Mrs. Huston, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Newson at Lakefield.
