A new restaurant in the Buttonville area is receiving a great deal of patronage. The Swiss Chalet Bar-B-Q, on Don Mills Road at Steelcase Road has been open only a few weeks, but already there are line-ups for service at the restaurant which must ac- commodate about 200 people. Douglas Davis of Stouffville was guest speaker at Brown's Corners United Church in the absense of Rev. Allen Hallett. Mrs. Fred Leaf and Lynda spent the holiday weekend at Balm Beach with Mrs. T. P. Harding. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Sher- man and Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Sherman attended the Sher- man family picnic at Owen Sound last weekend. Mrs. Tim Paterson has been the guest of a relative in the Owen Sound area this week. Cheshire, Eng- land to spend the month of August here. Miss Marie Drewery spent last week with her grand- mother, Mrs. Carrie Read of Bathurst Street. Mrs. Read was also happy to have a surprise visit last weekend from her grandson Mr. Bruce Read and his wife and son from Barrie. Mrs“ Helen Baker and Mrs. Carrie Read have recently returned from a delightful trip to Cape Cod. They travelled by bus with a group and said every day of the trip was just wonderful. The Mohawk 'h‘ail was one of the most beautiful spots and tours of a maple candy fac- tory and a fish hatchery were very interesting.
