Margaret Champion, whose marriage to Edward Arsen- ault of Toronto took place August 20, at the home of and Mrs. Wm. Champion. the bride's parents. Mr. was entertained at a series of parties before the wed- ding. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mc- Tavish of Buttonville held a buffet supper; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jeffrey of Uxbridge hosted a supper party: there was a shower and dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hood, Buttonville; and Mrs. W. E. Bridgman of the Cachet Country Club enter- tained at an afternoon tea and shower when guests were members of the senior class of the (Flaska) Mon- tessori School and their mo- thers. Margaret has been a teacher at the school for a number of years. Mrs. Harold Ashley vis- ited relatives in Colorado recently. Bruce Kilpatrick of Bath- fon Crescent spent last week at the Rothman Can- adian Open Tennis Champ- ionship Games in Toronto. He is the co-ordinator for this and all Rothman Canad- ian tennis games. Many months of planning and pre- paration are involved before an event like this to make it a success. We would like to tell about many more of the happen- ings in the neighborhood. He spent several days in the hospital where he had to have surgery. Mr. Roy Boyington has been in poor health at Markham Lodge. and was recently removed to hos- pital. Mrs. Elmore Hill spent some time with her sister 'Mrs. Lloyd Baker at Locust Hill in recent weeks. Miss Mary Knowles of Brightway Crescent is recov- ering at home after a fall off her bike last week.
