Mr. and Mrs. Don- ald Wright came from Taver- ham, England and are visit- ing other relatives too while in Canada. Robert Veitch of Weldrick Road has just returned from six weeks at Trenton Air Force Base where he was on a scholarship course with the Air Cadets. He successfully completed his course in glid- er pilot‘s training and gradu- ated on August 16. The 48 boys who took this course lived in a tent city on the base for the six weeks. Out of the group 46 graduated. Mrs. Russell Boyce from Desoronto is visiting here this week. She is staying wrth her daughter Mrs. Bob Cage and family on Brightway Crescent. Letters came out last week from Langstaff Secondary School to all students about the fall schedule. Miss Barb- ara Veitch of Weldrick Road was named valedictorian for the commencement to be held on October 18. CHURCH NEWS The Carrville Road United Church will resume serVIces on September 8. We are look- ing forward to seeing every- one again. The United Pentecostal Church is having services in the Masonic Hall On Keele Street in Maple every sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Majorette Registration I The Richvale Lions Major- ettes are holding registra- tion for the coming season on Wednesday and Thursday of next week from 7 to 9 pm at the Lions Hall. 31 Spruce Avenue.
