Canadian Jumping Derby New Venture For Local Riders installation Service The Headford congrega- tion united with the Vic- toria Square congregation Sunday morning for the in- stallation service of Rev. To improve competition and groom its riders for future international meets, the Canadian Equestrian Team has a new venture that may become an annual event. Please note that every Sunday morning services are held at Headford at 10 am. and at Victoria Square at 11:30 am which are con- ducted by Rev, Victor Shep- herd. Sunday school ls at 11 am at Victoria Square. Everyone welcome. The first Canadian jump- ing derby was held. at Elder- berry Hill on Sunday of last week. It was a very tough course and two top mounts. Adanac and Scotch Valley were tied for first place after a field of 20 jumpers completed the course. The course consisted of 24 natu- ral and show rink obstacles on -a l-mile course of hilly terrain. Miss Ella Taylor of Rich- mond Hill who was repre- senting York Presbytery took charge of the service. Mrs. Stewart the organist. Jim Elder, host of the event. took the overall vic- tory on Adanac, while Mot- fat Dunlap of Newmarket was runner-up. Elder re- ceived the Courvoisler Trophy. The first geuchre of the season will be held October 4 at 8:00 pm in the commun- ity hall, Ladies please pro- vide lunch. Everyone wel- come. All Persons having claims against the Estate of John C.
