News from next door NEWMARKET: Plans for a major baseball facility at the fairgrounds will be realized in time for the 1975 season. according to York Regional Councillor Ray Twinney. Cost of the scheme is reported to be $60,000 For lunch they all went to Springwater Park where they had a quick look through the 200. The af- ternoon was spent at the government nursery at Midhurst. Here they became familiar with the process of preparing the soil and planting the evergreen seeds. They studied the different stages of growth and the ways the young plants are protected from the elements. It is in- teresting to note that seeds for replanting are always sent back to the area of the province the cones came from.
