Friends were sorry to learn Mrs. Charles Hoover ifor many years a Gormley resident). widow of the late Charles Hoover who served as clerk-treasurer and as councillor for Markham Township for many years. was moved from Branson Hospital to Toronto General Hospital where she had her' leg amputated above the knee. Mrs. Hoover passed away early Tuesday morning oI-= last week. She rested at the Marshall Funeral Home in Richmond Hill. The service was held Friday afternoon at Heise Hill Church with interment in Heise Hill Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her two daughters. Doris of Willowdale and Blanche (Mrs. Elmore Hill) of Providence Bay, Manitoulin Island, and her two grand children, Joanne and Charles. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Joseph and family have sold their home at Preston Lake and have moved to Sharon. Mrs. Ern Hunt is spending this week with Rev. and Mrs. Willis Hunking of Kitchener.
