Mrs. Spencer had the idea for the Playtime Centre 20 years ago when she left her three-year-old son in a similar one on a shopping spree to Buffalo. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Spencer has been associated with Canadian Mothercraft Society for a number of years. She was one of the original planners of the Day Care Centre for Infants and is presently on the board of directors. Her principal function is as chairman of the training committee for students. Mrs. Spencer then became an assistant for two years and supervisor for seven years at the Donway Cooperative Nursery. This was followed by five years as supervisor at Manor Road Nursery School.
