It was 3-2 on Dunford‘s unassisted goal near the end of the second and 3-3 in the third as Dunford came through again assisted by Boyle and Buchan. Richmond Hill got one of them back 28 seconds from the end of the first on a goal by Thornhill from Eldridge and Bell. Thornhill took the lead again midway through the third but Richmond Hill tied it as McGregor scored from Lawlor and Barnett with just two minutes left.
