York University will be host to 1,200 physically handicapped athletes from 50 counties during the Olympics for the disabled in August. 1976. The Olympiad for the disabled is held every four years in conjunction with the regular Olympics, and usually in the same country. Included in 1976. for the first time,‘ will be 500 blind and amputee athletes as well as paraplegics. A highlight of the games will be one-mile wheelchair races.
