Com- missioner Sylvia Limpert and Lieutenant Isabel Colton conducted the enrolment and also presented hostess badges to Laura Lee MacEwen and Diane Peart. Guests en- joyed games and a social time with tea, coffee and dessert being served. The craft training held November 14 for Guiders, had an attendance of about 45 leaders. The evening was a profitable one with eight new ideas being demon- strated to and made by those attending the session. A magnetized owl, for notes, witches with acorn heads, ribbon-folded birds, calico flowers, pop can ring animals for decoration, a Santa Claus made of a paper roll a felt hobby horse head for candy canes and doll house lamps gave an in- teresting variety from which to choose. The Thornhill Rangers helped to instruct the crafts ‘and to serve coffee. Enrolment and bazaar Five girls were enrolled' 1n the 7th Richmond Hill Guide Company on November 28 The girls were Patricia Lyons, Janet Gadsby, Camille Peachment, Kathryn Kerr and Karen Stangl. On December 12 the Guides held a mini-bazaar featuring a tea court for dessert, a home baking table, crafts and white elephant table. The proceeds from the evening were used to fill a Christmas basket for a family in need. Included in the 11th Rich- mond Hill Brownie Pack Christmas party December 17, was a presentation by each Brownie of a food item to help fill the Christmas basket planned by the Guide company. The girls will babysit for 50 cents an hour up to three children or one family in the auditorium.
